Have you ever looked at skulls?

I’m not trying to imply that everybody enjoys perusing skeletons. But we’ve all seen human skulls, and they don’t look like you’d think they would. I mean, even though we all have unique facial features, most of our skulls are identical. Animals are included in that category as well. But one of us was wondering what animals might look like if they were designed by aliens.

Let’s pretend for a second that aliens are real and that they’ve never seen any kind of animal before. Do I have your attention? Now, let your imagination run wild and imagine that they were trying to recreate animals but had nothing more than a skull or a carcass to work from. What they would probably come up with is as follows. It’s safe to say that this is an entertaining experiment.

It is not relevant to this discussion whether or not we think aliens exist. Today, let’s talk about how, when compared to these animals, our peculiar skulls make no evolutionary sense. Body fat and muscle distribution seem to have a startling effect on overall appearance.
