Some mothers-in-law can be pure evil.
When it comes to getting along with their son’s girlfriend, I don’t understand why some mothers have to act so petty. All they want is the ideal partner for their divine sons. They will likely not make any concessions in the areas of good looks, humour, or intelligence. From what I’ve observed, future mothers-in-law will do anything to get rid of a woman they don’t approve of for their sons. It’s pretty depressing, to be honest. Obviously, you should be pleased with the girl if your son is.
It’s natural for parents to want what’s best for their kids, but they shouldn’t try to micromanage every choice their kids make. Allow your son to date whoever he wants, even if she doesn’t measure up to your standards. He should be happy with his decision. Have faith in his judgement. In addition, it is your son, not you, who will be spending the rest of their lives together. Let him decide for himself what’s best for him.
However, not all mothers value personal space. They are willing to take drastic measures to get rid of a daughter-in-law they do not want. This Reddit user related the tale of a nurse whose mother-in-law desperately sought her removal from the household. However, she triumphed over the MIL in the game and came out on top. Here’s the tale, if you dare:
The story is about a very sweet nurse. She seems highly educated.
The mother-in-law is super mean and constantly tries to break the couple up.
Finally, as a last resort, she ends up offering the nurse $10,000 to leave her son.
The nurse is a smart lady, so she accepts the money but doesn’t leave the son. The MIL can’t do anything about it.
They have been happily married now for 30 years. The husband has no idea about this incident.
Let the kids be kids. When a parent sees that their child is happy with another person, they should believe their child’s assessment of that person and allow their child to be happy. The welfare of one’s children should be a parent’s highest priority. The state of their health and happiness go hand in hand. Be a good parent and encourage them to follow their own path.
This is what people had to say about the whole incident:
Seriously, do people like this even exist?
That is just pure evil.
Imagine being offered that much money, accepting it, and not even doing the job!
This is movie material.
It still makes the MIL look bad for giving the money, though.
This is the best response to a question like that.
In your opinion, how funny was this tale? Putting yourself in the nurse’s shoes, what action would you have taken? If offered, would you have taken the cash? What do you think? Tell us in the comments!
