Not all kids are created the same.
I realise how harsh this sounds, but it is the honest truth. In a nutshell, it is dependent on the values instilled in them by their parents. Even though parents aren’t always to blame for their child’s bad behaviour, they do have a significant impact on their future. All the spoiled brats you’ve ever seen were raised by parents who either thought they were better than everyone else or were too nice and let their kids treat them like dirt.
Though giving children some independence is crucial to their development as unique people, parents must also be firm and establish rules to ensure everyone follows them. Young children will not appreciate this at all, but they will eventually comprehend it. As you may have guessed by now, today’s tale involves two ungrateful nephews who drove around in their aunt’s car without fastening their seatbelts. You probably can guess how that turned out for them.
If you scroll down, you can read the whole thing.
The aunt was already doing a good deed by driving her brother’s kids to the airport.
She tried to get them to put their seatbelts on but they weren’t having it which made them late for their flight.
The big deal about fastening seatbelts has always baffled me. They can be annoying at times, but they could save your life if you have no choice. Of course, this is an absolute no-brainer if fines are given out for not wearing a seatbelt. No matter what their father allows them to do, she has the right to enforce her rules on them while they are in her care. They brought this upon themselves; had they acted rationally, they would have made it to the airport on time.
They aren’t little kids either so this is unacceptable.
It is also the Fathers fault for not disciplining his kids properly.
I hope they learned a lesson but going by their father’s behavior, I don’t think so.
There were even some people who share their experiences and how seatbelts saved their lives.
I also hope that the Father grounds them for not listening to their Aunt.
The brother is also in the wrong here for directing his anger towards her.
The simple way to put it is her car, her rules.
I would have simply kicked them out of the car if someone did this to me.
I need your advice; what would you do? Would you follow in Aunt’s footsteps and break the law to protect these youngsters? Put your thoughts in a comment below. Please forward this story to other parents in your social circle so they can weigh in as well.
